Associate Professor of Pharmacology at the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Siena. The research activity is aimed at evaluating 1. natural substances or extracts on the function of vascular endothelial cells in relation to cardiovascular pathologies and regenerative processes; 2. molecular effects (anti-inflammatory and antioxidant) of natural substances and nutraceuticals in various normal and tumor cell types. Scientific coordinator of various projects funded by MIUR, non-profit agencies and research agreements with private companies. Member of the editorial board of international journals. Scientific reviewer for numerous international scientific journals and national and international research programs. Founder and member of the spin-off Noxamet srl. Author of over 170 scientific publications in international journals, book chapters and reviews. Included in the list of Top women Italian scientists (TWIS 2019, 2020).
