Flavia Nastri

Department of Chemical Sciences

Professor of inorganic and bioinorganic chemistry at the University Federico II of Napoli. She graduated in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in 1990 at the University of Napoli Federico II, where in 1996 she received a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences. In 1994 she joined the research group of Daniel Mansuy at the Université René Descartes, Paris (France) as visiting fellow. Her research activity is focused on bioinorganic chemistry, dealing with the design, synthesis, structural and functional characterization of artificial molecules able to reproduce the active site of natural metalloproteins and metalloenzymes. These artificial metalloenzymes are exploited for different applications, as immobilized catalysts or in biosensor development.
