Associate Professor of General and Applied Entomology at the University of Torino (IT). Research fellow at the Department of Crop Protection of the University of Ghent (BE) from 1996 to 1997; in 2003 she received a PhD in Biological and Integrated Control at the University of Torino
The main research topics focus on:
1) biology, ethology and epidemiology of insect vectors of phytopathogens, with particular interest in phytoplasma psyllid vectors
2) implementation of innovative strategies for the management of crop and pantry pests
3) study of immune responses of insects using molecular techniques and cell cultures with particular regard to insect vectors and crop and pantry pests.
